Gumnut is a beautifully maintained gaff-rigged 22ft vintage yacht. Originally built in Sydney in 1887, she underwent a major restoration in 2014 by Paul Howe at Blunt’ Boatyard in Williamstown.
Her striking teak laid decks, coach house, mast, booms, bowsprit and hulls were stripped back to bare, and her 15hp Yanmar diesel motor rebuilt at the time. New white narrow-cut panel sails were custom made, true to her era.
She currently calls the Gippsland Lakes her home. A custom-made cover protects from the elements. Maintenance records from the past few decades are available.
